BOUNCERS
by John Godber
Directed by Russ Clancy, assisted by Bruce Taylor

Get your glad rags on (no trainers!) and join us for a Friday night at "Mr Cinders" a fictional Wakefield club in the 1990s. The play demonstrates the events of an average Friday night and does contain some bad language as well as some outdated references and views.

Experience the evening from the perspective of our four bouncers, four girls out for a birthday and four lads out on the pull as well as a host of other characters. All ably and often hilariously played by the same four actors. Witness the highs and lows and everything in between!

This hilarious and often thought-provoking play was updated by its writer and original Director, John Godber, to be set in the 90s from his original piece set in the 80s which was first performed at the Edinburgh fringe in August 1984 and went on to win "Comedy of the Year" at the 1985 Olivier Awards.
